The McCune Animal Hospital was established in 1996 by Kathleen McCune,  DVM  and her husband, Collin Babcock,  MSSW.  The doctor practiced out of her home prior to 1996 and has practiced in this area for more than 20 years.                                                    

Kathleen A. McCune, DVM

Dr. Kathleen McCune is the founder of McCune Animal Hospital. She is a 1978 graduate of the prestigious Louisiana State University. She relocated to Arkansas after practicing as the resident surgeon for a four clinic practice in New Orleans. She has recently enlarged her local practice by including a larger service area and the construction of a new Veterinary Hospital. She is an energetic entrepreneur with four boys and a large menagerie of her own dogs and cats                           

Amy C..Goodnow, DVM 

Dr. Amy joined us in November, 2008 as Kathy's

associate.  She comes to us with a strong

background in small animal practice (12 years

of experience as well as being a concert cellist,

a mother of two and the owner of a menagerie

 of horses, dogs and cats.                  

Collin M. Babcock, MSSW

Mr. Babcock is a non-practicing psychotherapist and behaviorist. He and Dr. McCune were married just prior to opening their present location in the fall of 1996. Collin has become the primary business and practice administrator, and has authored a retail version of Veterinary Hospital Management software.
