BOARDING RULES
Vaccination Policy
All pets boarding at McCune Animal Hospital are required to be currently vaccinated. For dogs: rabies, distemper/parvo, intestinal parasite exam and bordetella are required. For cats: rabies, FVRCP and a fecal exam. If your pet is vaccinated at another facility, you must provide written verification. If you do not provide documentation, your pet will be given an exam and the appropriate vaccines.
Flea Policy
All animals are given a CAPSTAR tablet on admission to boarding. This is a flea prevention pill that will eliminate all fleas within 30 minutes. This is given just once and ensures that no fleas come in and no fleas go out of our clinic or boarding areas.
Boarding Agreement
McCune Animal Hospital will use all reasonable precaution against injury, escape or death of your pet. The clinic and staff will not be held liable for any problems that develop provided reasonable care and precautions are followed. If a medical problem is discovered, McCune Animal Hospital will telephone the owner or emergency contact to discuss the problem and determine the best course of action to be taken. If the owner cannot be reached, the attending veterinarian has your permission to take the necessary steps to diagnose and treat in accordance with current medical standards. In case of emergency, measures to preserve and stabilize vital function shall be taken immediately. The owner assumes full responsibility for lodging, veterinary services and any other expense incurred while their pet is boarded.
